Thanks for buying Gintama volume 63. Last year is been annunced on Jump that Gintama will enter in its last arc. Since then I receved a lot of letter of concern like the one above. Let me explain it, Gintama is not gonna end in 2016, but it will enter in its final arc. That means that as things are now, even I can’t predict if it will end this or next year. So usually,when a manga that are you reading is telling you that is reaching it’s climax, that means that it will take still some chapters to end, so they are just getting ready for this with this annuncement, and that is what jumps usually do. That then got some relevance of the internet too. To be honest I was quite unsure to do such of annuncement, and when we told that to former editor redneck Onishi, not only the place of the meeting became gloom for the annuncement. So there is not much to do about it, well actually, we should wait just a little longer on Sugita san head’s situation. On the internet Gintama had more news than Sugita-san’s hair affair. So before to go we have just to check his hair growt decrease. When finally the lid will be opened, only me and Be* will remain as redneck gorillas, i really wonder what will be of the others, and who will be the real redneck

Sensei, here’s a question. There is something that I don’t understand in chapter 305 about Kada ,the commander of the fourth Harusame squad. In chapter 561, tha commander of this squad is now Syoukaku, being you the super great Sorachi sensei, I dont think that is a mistake. Thre is a good reason for that question right?

Kada was the ex commander of the fourth squad of Harusame, but she betrayed the organizzation, leaving the fourth squad without a leader. So the one that took her place it’s been Syoukaku, but seen he was chasing some personal struggle he tried to crush the organizzation and was inprosoned for that. But Utsuro having destroied the senate, set him free, and gave him the order to destroy the seventh squad. Being the Harusame just a bunch of hooligans, people that created problems were a lot, so people such Kada was really frequent.

In the Shogun assassination arc, Gintoki cuts Shouyo sensei’s head. Where was Sakamoto? When takes place the scene where he says he want to go to space? Does it happens before Shouyo’s death?

The scene under the stars with Gintoki where he say to want to go to space, happens way before Shouyo’s death. That was a thing that always bugged him. After that Sakamoto had a serious wound, and in order to heal he was took off from the front line. During this time frame, gintoki and the others had a crushing defeat in a blattle and Shouyo died. After his recovery, Sakamoto rushed to the place of the battle, but the surviving companion chased by the bakufu scattered and runned away when the war was over. Sakamoto tried to search for them but the only one he found was Gintoki, here takes place the scene where he asks him what he wants to do from now on. Gintoki says that he wants to stay on heart, and Sakamoto leaves for space.
